We are very thrilled about this rich medal collection. – declares Valentino Di Campli, President of Codice CitraWineryTo be the most awarded firm in Abruzzo makes us proud and underlines our commitment in the enological research focused on sustainability and improvement of our grapes’ quality. I want to thank the whole Codice Citra Wine Team for the diligence and the passion in their work during these years, especially to make our native vines appreciated and known worldwide”.

First of all, I would like to thank my colleagues at Codice Citra and the technicians, agronomists and winemakers of the associated wineries. The results achieved were possible thanks to the teamwork of the Citra Wine Team. – says Davide Dias, Codice Citra Technical Manager Finally, the commitment of these years is bringing the desired results, but we do not stop and, moreover, we continue to improve with enthusiasm. We decided to start from the vineyard, “mapping” all the vineyards and work more and more in close contact with our wine growers in order to support a sustainable viticulture. By working together, we are able to better monitor the entire production chain “from the vineyard to the bottle” and ensure the traceability of the grapes, necessary for making high quality products and for transparency towards consumers.

The 5StarWines-the Book, now in its fourth edition, saw the participation of more than 2,000 wines in the Selection; about these, 848 have been selected and then included in the guide 5StarWines – the Book. In order to fulfill the health and safety instruction established to tackle the spread of COVID-19, the blind tasting took place in an “agile” version, that is, the wine samples have been sent to the selected international judges, which blindly tasted connected in video conference from their country of residence and expressed the evaluation via WebApp, then coordinated and supervised by the team in Verona.
