CITRA Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOP 2017
“Looking for the perfect pizza or pasta wine? Made from the Montepulciano grape in Italy’s Abruzzo region on the Adriatic coast, this has great cherry and berry fruit but also good acid to clean that tomato sauce off your palate and get your mouth ready for the next bite. It is clean and refreshing with a smooth, tannin-free finish. Hard for me to understand how they can make a wine this good, ship it to America and sell it for ten bucks. My new house wine.”
