VINITALY 2018: CODICE CITRA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF MONTEPULCIANO

All the latest from the Abruzzo winemaker at Vinitaly 2018 and a live EnoArte© performance by the artist Elisabetta Rogai

Codice Citra will take part in the upcoming Vinitaly fair in Verona from April 15th to the 18th, 2018 (Hall 12, Stand G5), where it celebrates an important anniversary: 50 years of Montepulciano DOC (see info sheet). Citra will celebrate this important birthday with a truly unique artistic performance by the Florentine artist Elisabetta Rogai, who will paint using Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine.

The Abruzzo winemaker, founded in 1973, joins together nine wineries in the province of Chieti. It is Abruzzo’s largest winemaker, uniting the technology, quality control and expertise of a large organization with the time-honored craft of three thousand winemaking families cultivating six thousand hectares of vineyards.

Codice Citra events at Vinitaly:

Sunday, April 15, 2018
12:00 – Live Performance by Elisabetta Rogai, creator of EnoArte©, a painting technique using red wine instead of traditional paints in an innovative way, achieving results unlike anything seen before. Painting for the first time in the Regione Abruzzo stand, the Florentine artist has become world famous for her technique of painting with red wine. One of the extraordinary qualities of her artwork is that it ages, just like a fine wine, developing refined and varied chromatic nuances over time (@Codice Citra Stand). She will use four variants of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from four different terroirs within Citra’s ambit. Her enological work of art will be exhibited at Codice Citra headquarters, becoming a part of the company’s artistic heritage.

4:30 PM – Presentation of the book La Costa dei Trabocchi @Codice Citra Stand
Participants include Valentino Di Campli, president of Codice Citra; Roberto Di Vincenzo, president of Isnart (National Institute of Tourism Research for the Italian Chambers of Commerce); Carlo Cambi, journalist and television writer; Oscar Buonamano, journalist and editorial direct of the Carsa publishing house; and Alessandro Di Nisio of Paesaggi d’Abruzzo.
